About Clive
Clive loves working in schools and his aim is to inspire pupils to create and perform their own original poems. Clive’s approach is flexible and humorous and aimed at helping pupils feel comfortable and relaxed.
As Clive is an experienced performer and workshop facilitator, he really can take your pupils from the page to the stage on an exciting adventure.
Clive’s AIM High Writing Days
Storytelling
This day will focus on the art of storytelling. There are many ways to tell a story and in these lively and dramatic workshops Clive shares his Top Ten Tale-Telling Tips. The day will be lots of fun as well as very educational and the children will look at the importance of having fun with words inspiring them to createtheir own stories.
During the day the children will compose their own short story, edit and redraft them and then share them out loud with the group.
Poetry
Clive’s Poetry day will focus on finding the poetry in everyday life. Clive explores the writing process – inspiration, first drafts, shaping, editing, and completion – through the stories of his own creations.
His mission is to spark your students’ imaginations by showing them that poetry is all around them, and to foster confidence to play with words to create poems from everyday experiences. The day will be lots of fun as well as very educational and the children will look at the importance of having fun with words inspiring them to create their own poems.
