Jason’s AIM High Writing Days
Jason offers two very different AIM High days!
Be a TV Reporter!
In this workshop, the children will be taught how TV news reports rely heavily on the present perfect tense and how reporters use concise, simple vocabulary to write non fiction reports which are clear and understandable. The children will have to create stories from scenarios and read their reports to camera (which Jason will bring). Teachers will be supplied with suggestions for follow up work and video files of the reports will also be available for copying by the schools.
Be a Superhero Writer!
In this workshop the children create superhero stories that are as much fun to read as they are to write. Jason will use drama techniques to help the students identify with their characters and he will share tips of the writers’ trade to help them build their fictional worlds. His aim is to enable the children to be the best story tellers they can be. The stories will be broken down into five sections: cool characters / sizzling settings / perfect plotting / dazzling dialogue and funky finishes.
