We are now taking bookings for the next poetry slams. Days in school take place from November 2024 onwards and fianls are taking place throughout the country during spring and summer term depending on your location.

The Details
Who is it for?
Slams are for pupils in Years 6 and 7. Although some areas are also open to Years 5 and 8 - check each locations page for verification.
Up to 90 students can take part in a day. If you have larger year groups we can offer discounts for you to have two days with your assigned poet, or two poets visit on one day and work with half a year group each.
If you have a small school and small year groups the poet can spend the morning working with other year groups on general poetry before focusing on the slam year groups.
How much?
Slams prices vary from £410 - £525 plus VAT depending on your area and how many teams you want to enter in the final. The price quoted covers your day in school, plus your team/s and their assigned staff entry to your final at a theatre. As well as your trophy

Useful to know
There is a cap on schools that can participate in each area – we allow a maximum of 15 teams to take part in each slam. Schools host a day in school with their dedicated poet from November onwards.
The winning teams from each school will compete in a final that will take place on a weekday evening between April and June. All final dates are on the location pages
