Lee Staniforth - Science
Lee started Captivating Creatures after retiring from the HM Forces after 25 years service, he now works for this small family run business that grew from their children’s interest in animals.
About Lee and Captivating Creatures
Captivating Creatures started over 10 years ago when the family bought their first reptile, since then the family have become fascinated with these Captivating Creatures and their collection has grown over time. All of the animals are loved pets and are handled regularly to ensure they are friendly and are accustomed to human interaction.
Lee’s AIM High Science Days
Animals, their habitats and classification - with live creatures!
Lee will bring a variety of small animals, amphibians and reptiles for the children to learn about them, their habitats, where they come from, and the way that their bodies have adapted to the environment that they live in.
All of the animals that are used in Lee's workshops are chosen for their suitability for working with children, so they will be able to handle these rare creatures and experience them first hand whilst learning about them. Lee's workshop will also look at the classification of animals.
You can also be assured as a STEM Ambassador and having delivered workshops in a variety of setting, that Lee’s workshop is national curriculum linked, exciting and relevant to what is going on in your classroom.
This will be a very hands-on and practical workshop designed to really make the children think more in depth about the habitats of living things.
