Ian is a retired teacher and co-author of the ConkerMaths.org website and the Conkermaths software. In his spare time he builds and competes at Fighting Robot events both in the UK and abroad.

Ian’s AIM High Maths Days

Ian selects a range of games, puzzles and interesting situations that can be addressed in a tactile way. Students then find ways to notate and explore mathematically, the questions and problems that naturally arise, to encourage an awareness of the maths that surrounds us. If possible Ian likes to go outside or use a hall; maths doesn’t just happen in classrooms!

Ian is always happy to work with a host school in order to incorporate an area of maths they would like to see covered.
