Jane Prowse - Writing
Jane is a writer and director for television and theatre, as well as a children’s novelist. Her teen trilogy, the Hattori Hachi action adventure series, has been optioned for television.
About Jane
The Hattori Hachi idea came to Jane several years ago, when she was working as a writer and director in television. Reading that ninjutsu skills were the inspiration for James Bond and all the other action adventure heroes, she became inspired to create a fifteen year-old female action hero, Hattori Hachi. There’s no magic to ninjutsu – people become great warriors through hard work, training, mental discipline and really smart thinking. These are all attributes that will help any budding author. Incorporating entertaining stories of ninjas, Jane helps students and teachers apply these disciplines to writing so that everyone can create – and finish – a well-crafted story within the day.
Jane is also a qualified mental health first aider.
